Twitter Journalist WordPress Theme

Posted on the May 22nd, 2008 under Themes, WordPress by Zaki

Feel free to download The Twitter Journalist, a minimal WordPress theme based on The Journalist by Lucian Marin and Twitter.com design. In the package I have included a .PSD file for you to modify the header of this theme.

Modification

  1. Edit Header
You can edit the header by modifying /twitter/images/logo.psd included in the package. By default the font used is Myriad Pro Condensed Bold and Myriad Pro Condensed Italic which you can buy from Linotype.com.
  2. Edit About (in the Sidebar)
You can use your own text by editing /twitter/about.txt. However you might want to preserved the these following code in order to make your avatar shows.

    <em class="author-gravatar"></em>
  3. Avatar
You can edit the avatar by replacing /twitter/images/author.jpg, by default the file should be at 80px*80px dimensions.

Permission

I already received an email concluding that this theme doesn’t break any of Twitter.com Term of Services.

Hello,

Generally we assert our copyright when it comes to clones and issues related to branding, marketing, etc. In this case, it seems ok; if you could change the color (and keep the clouds) or make a minor change to differentiate it from the exact background image on our site, that would be fine.

Thanks,
Crystal

Looks like a great theme. I tried downloading, but the link goes to a 404 page.
